The MRI uses a strong magnet to create images of human anatomy and organs by transmitting radio waves through the body. MRI's do not produce any radiation and they do no have any negative side effects. It is one of the safest medical exams.
Do I Need to Prepare for an MRI Exam ?
The MRI does not require any special preparation what so ever.
How long does an MRI Exam take ?
On average most of our exams take 20-30 minutes, but there are some that can take a little longer depending on the area being scanned.

Pacemaker
Neuro-Stimulator or Any Implanted Medical Device
Ferrous Intracranial Aneurysm Clips or Any Aneurysm Clip Implanted 6 months or less from the scan date
Implanted Drug Infusion Device
Inner Ear Implant
